Welcome to AED@UCSD
Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED) is a national pre-health honor society dedicated to helping undergraduate students prepare for all professional health careers. We offer opportunities in community service and clinical experience as well as numerous chances to interact with many health professionals and UCSD students. During our general body meetings every other week, you can also connect with other pre-medical students and learn from their experiences. In addition, we often invite doctors and experienced medical students as guest with whom you can interact and ask questions. AED offers ways to communicate and network with others in the same situation and with those already in the medical field. Anyone can join and attend our events! All we require is for you to be interested in health-related issues or professions.
Presidents' Message
Welcome!
As this year’s co-presidents of Alpha Epsilon Delta, we hope to provide a welcoming and supportive community for all students who want to pursue a career in a health professional field. In order to best prepare our members with the skill set and expertise required for internships, jobs, and graduate programs, we emphasize a focus on developing professional skills and building experience through mentorship, volunteer programs, and networking opportunities with healthcare professionals throughout the UCSD community. With the amount of time and effort that must be invested into achieving our future occupational goals, pursuing a health career can be stressful at times, so we strive to create a positive environment for our members to relax, create lifelong friendships, and find a second home in AED, just as we have. Sincerely, Sean Jansky & Michelle Paw Co-Presidents of Alpha Epsilon Delta, 2022-2023 |
