Information Night: October 1st 2019 @6:30PM in The Forum at Price Center
Officer Speed Dating: October 2nd 2019 @6:30PM in Dolores Huerta Room at the Old Student Center
Food Outing @ The Melt: October 3rd 2019 @6:30PM, Rides will be provided starting at 5:45PM at Peterson Loop
Beach Bonfire: October 4th 2019 @6:30PM, Rides will be provided starting at 5:30PM at Peterson Loop
General Body Meeting #1 (Research Opportunities @UCSD): October 10th 2019 @6:30PM in Dolores Huerta Room 
General Body Meeting #2 (Meet the Bigs!): October 24th, 2019 @6:30PM in Dolores Huerta Room
LOCAL ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP

Qualifications to attain Local Active Membership are the following:​
  1. An interest in health care!
  2. Attend at least 1 social event, 1 fundraising event per quarter & complete 1 hour of publicity and 4 hours of volunteer services with AED per quarter.
  3. Attend all general body meetings for two quarters. If you cannot attend a GBM due to class or illness, please e-mail us at ucsd.aed@gmail.com or Secretary Sharlene Diep at s4diep@ucsd.edu at least 24 HOURS BEFORE THE GBM so there is record! (No exceptions.)
  4. A small fee paid to AED as local chapter membership fee. It will be $35 for the whole year if you join in the fall or $15 per quarter if you join in winter or spring. 
NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP
National Membership requires all the qualifications of Local Active Membership with the addition of these few:
  1. Potential members must have completed at least  5 quarters of health preprofessional studies work with an overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.20 and also with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 in the sciences – biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics.
  2. Potential members who meet the GPA and are transferring from one school to one with an active chapter will be eligible for membership after the completion of 2 quarters at UCSD. The grade point averages used to determine scholastic eligibility at the new school will be determined by averaging all grades from both old and new schools.
  3. A fee paid to the National AED Office. 

Benefits of National Membership:
  • Priority to all events, HHAB trips, officer positions, opportunity to be a Big, do not need to pay Local Active Membership fees, exclusive sweatshirt, official recognition from the Alpha Epsilon Delta National Office, potential scholarship opportunities, discounts for test prep
